The Center for Immunology is establishing a new
fund to ensure current trainees have the resources they need to reach their goals. These dollars will assist students with professional development, conference fees and travel, emergency health or dental care, technology upgrades, and more.
We are formally launching this effort at an event you and a guest are invited to attend this spring. The first ever “Welcome Back to Immunology” party will be held on Thursday, April 18th at the University of Minnesota. This is the day before the Blumenthal Lecture that will be presented by Dr. Akiko Iwasaki. This will be a festive, social affair with complimentary appetizers and beverages. Center Director, Dr. Marc Jenkins will provide short remarks and at that time, you will hear more about the Mescher Trainee Enhancement Endowed Fund and its goals. If you are so motivated, you will have the opportunity to make a tax-deductible contribution to the fund.
Come visit with old friends and colleagues and discover current research efforts by CFI faculty and students. Some labs are planning a reunion after the event, so watch your emails for more information.
